Lebanon: A Rising Star

WAR... it is an ugly part of this lovely country's history. For some, the war is not over yet. For others, blaming the others is the solution. Whatever it is, it's a pity that some haven't learned a thing.

Bits and pieces, articles from different magazines/newspapers that featured Lebanon. From time to time, when I find an article about Lebanon I put it here.

Believe it or not, but most Lebanese Newspaper and Television have gone digital. With the rapid expansion of the Internet and service providers in Lebanon, now it is possible to get the latest news ...ON-LINE

The Media and Entertainment section features the latest Radios and TV stations that have joined the digital age. You can browse thru news, get the latest entertainment scoop from Lebanon, find out what Lebanese are into these days and see what songs are topping the charts.

Here you can find a collection of pictures. Some of these pictures were contributed by f ellow net-surfers. keep in mind that I am no profesional photographer, and most of these pictures had to be scanned in low-res mode to keep the size reasonably small.

The Cedar of Lebanon is a treasured tree for many reasons: Mythological, Religious and Medicinal. Some of the Cedar trees have been around close to 2000 years; however, they now are facing extinction.

This is by far my favourite section... I think the Lebanese cuisine is one of the finest in the world. don't ask me why, but I think being Lebanese has something to do with it.

According to the World Conservation Union, some animals in Lebanon are on the "Red List". It is a list of threatened animals.

Lebanon is going thru a reconstruction boom after the long war ravaged most of the country and its infrastructure. Also Take a peak at the plans for downtown Beirut...rising f rom the ashes!
